Lash Lift and Tint: Enhance Your Look!

With the new year ringing in, our resolutions should be in full swing. If getting fuller, more  defined lashes was part of your resolution, then it’s probably likely that you’ve looked into a lash lift and tint. I mean, who wouldn't rest easier knowing they don't have to get up every morning and use their eyelash curler?! Sign me up!

What can you expect during your lash lift and tint?

Here at Denver Waxing, we want to keep the guesswork and intimidation out of your self care sessions. If you haven't gotten a lift and tint done on your lashes, we want to make sure you have all the tools you need to come in confident and prepared.

Welcome to our must-have guide on the perfect lash lift and tint!

Get comfortable in the chair and let your esthetician guide you through

When you first arrive, your lash specialist will have you get comfy and cozy in the chair as they discuss your lash vision. If you have any outstanding questions or points that you aren't sure about, your technician will use this time to address those concerns.

Cleansing of the eyes and lashes

Now that you’ve addressed all your concerns with your lash tech, and are feeling confident and excited about your mini-makeover, the session will officially begin! The pre-lift process begins by cleaning your lashes. Even if you’ve come in fresh from a shower and haven't put any makeup on, an oil-free cleanser will still be used to make sure any dirt and debris have been removed to provide the best possible results.

The process of a lash lift and tint

Before the perming process even starts, your lower lashes will be gently taped down to ensure that they are not accidentally modified during the lift. This can be slightly uncomfortable at first as the feeling is a little unusual, but you will adjust quickly as your eyes remain closed throughout the lift and tint process.

Now that you’re cleaned up and ready to go, your technician will start by choosing an eyelash mold, also known as a rod, that best fits your overall eyelash goals and the length of your lashes. Your upper lashes will gently be glued to the mold and then layered with a lotion-like formula meant to aid in the reshaping process. After a few applications of lotion and dye, and once your lashes have been allowed to cure, they are gently cleansed and VOILA! You have completed the lift and tint process!

What to be aware of after your lash lift and tint

Now that all the “hard work” is done, let’s go over how to protect and keep your lashes looking their best. After all, whether it’s our hair, nails, or even a simple waxing session, we always want to prolong the results to make sure we get the most out of our investment.

Here is our quick reference guide of things we think you should know in order to keep your lashes looking fierce.

The first 48 hours of your lash lift and tint are essential

The quickest way to make or break your new lash lift and tint happens within the first 48 hours following your appointment. If your lashes are exposed to water within 24 hours following your session, there is a big chance that the results will not last as long or be as prominent as it should. Additionally, wearing makeup or applying oil-based cleaning solutions to your eye area following your appointment could also end in disaster. While proper general aftercare is important, the first two days are critical.

Ensure that you discuss the do’s and don'ts for your lashes with your lash technician prior to leaving!

Will my lashes stay safe after my appointment?

The integrity of your lashes and your satisfaction is our number one concern. As professionals, we place your safety and well being first – this means that no procedure will take place that we feel jeopardizes your happiness and wellbeing. So, yes! Your lashes will stay safe both during and after your appointment.

Just remember: It’s important to take proper care of your lashes and make sure you dont schedule a new appointment too soon. While the process is safe, you don't want to overwork your eyelashes.

How long can I expect my lash lift and tint to last

Although lifting and tinting are two separate processes completed at the same time, they will both stay for the same amount of time. Since both the dye and the perm to your eyelashes are permanent, the length of time each lasts is strictly dependent on your hair’s growth cycle. Since each individual eyelash sheds separately from each other, your results will slowly fade over time before a new session is needed.

Generally speaking, your lift and tint should hold strong for around a month before needing to be redone.
